Why It Matters

PSD is an integral part of your Sixth Form study programme at ELATT. Excellent enrichment and personal development support enhances student learning and leads to high levels of progression. By combining personal development with vocational training, you will graduate with recognised qualifications, real-world experience, and the confidence to take your next step, whether that’s university, an apprenticeship, or your first job. Our students have:

Volunteered at homeless shelters

Run campaigns with Citizens UK for employers to pay the London Living Wage

Worked in community gardens

Partnered with London Wildlife Trust and Headliners to raise awareness of environmental issues

Participated in mock trials at the Royal Courts of Justice and visited the Houses of Parliament

In addition, learners have gained work experience at Circle Collective, BT Sport, Inspire, Sopra Steria, and other local organisations. They have also collaborated with a local theatre company to produce short films on homelessness and community inclusion.

We actively encourage partnerships with local organisations to provide our learners with more opportunities to grow their skills, networks, and confidence.
