Build your confidence with numbers through a free Functional Skills Maths qualification, included as part of your ELATT vocational course in London.
Functional Skills Maths is a core part of ELATT’s Adult Study Programme. You don’t apply for it separately, if your initial assessment shows that developing your maths skills would help you, it’s built into your vocational course from the start.
The level you study at, Entry Level, Level 1 or Level 2, will be matched to your ability through your initial assessment when you join. You’ll build practical number, measuring, shape and data skills using real-life topics such as budgeting, shopping, planning journeys and understanding information at work, so what you learn is useful straight away.
Sessions are delivered online, in small groups, alongside your main course. You’ll take part in interactive sessions, practical tasks and regular feedback, working towards a Pearson Functional Skills Maths exam at the end of your course.
By the end, you’ll have a nationally recognised qualification and the confidence to use your maths skills in further study, employment or everyday life. It’s included as part of your vocational course, at no extra cost.
If you don’t have prior experience, don’t worry!
We offer preparatory courses and support to help you build the foundational skills needed for Level 3.
Alongside your vocational course, you will also have the opportunity to earn additional free qualifications to strengthen your CV and employability. These are matched to your level and confirmed after a short skills assessment when you join. They may include Functional Skills English, Functional Skills Maths, Professional Development and Digital Skills. Not everyone will study all four. Your programme will be tailored to what you need.
