Bring your ideas to life through photography, film, video editing, and creative storytelling. ELATT’s Creative Media course is the perfect opportunity to develop your skills in creative media production, digital storytelling, and real-world digital tools while studying in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Our courses range from Level 1 to Level 3, giving you the chance to build your knowledge in areas such as video and media production, film making, digital photography, comic art, sound and audio editing, 3D modelling, and games design. Each level helps you grow your confidence, strengthen your portfolio, and prepare for further study or creative careers.

You will learn through hands-on projects, creative challenges, and guided lessons with expert tutors. Whether you’re aiming for a career in media, games, or digital design, or simply want to explore your creativity—ELATT helps you gain the skills and qualifications to take your next step.

We offer preparatory courses and support to help you build the foundational skills needed for Level 3.

  • Plan and produce a short media project.
  • Explore concept art, comic illustration, and digital photography.
  • Learn 3D modelling techniques for game or film design.
  • Record and edit sound and audio.
  • Learn video production terms and technologies.
  • Edit video using industry tools.
  • Present your work and receive tutor and peer feedback.
  • Learn audio, video and design software.
  • Intro to music production using BandLab.
  • Edit videos using Clipchamp.
  • Create graphics and design content with Canva and Photopea.
  • Build confidence for creative tools.

Entry Requirements

  • Age 16–19, or 19+ with an active Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
  • Basic English and IT skills are required, assessed at your enrolment meeting.
  • No prior qualifications required, but a passion for creative storytelling, media, and digital content creation is essential.
  • A commitment to developing technical and creative skills through hands-on projects.

  • Understand the project management concepts and methodologies.
  • Use project management software to plan a games technology project, track progress and review outcomes to determine project success.
  • Create 3D game characters and environments.
  • Develop game concept art and digitise with graphic software.
  • Design a VR or AR prototype.
  • Build your own game using 2D and 3D games engines.
  • Understand the structure of the games industry and prepare for careers or study.

Entry Requirements

  • A Level 2 qualification in Creative Media or a related subject.
  • Interest in digital creativity, media, design, or games.
  • Willing to explore creative careers or prepare for higher-level study.
