Functional Skills Maths - Sixth Form | Entry 3 to Level 2

Gain essential maths skills for life, work, and further study with ELATT’s Sixth Form Functional Skills Maths course.

Overview

Build Confidence with Practical Maths Skills for Life and Work

At ELATT, we support young people who are looking to build foundational maths skills in a calm and inclusive learning environment. Our Functional Skills Maths course for Sixth Form students is designed to help you progress from Entry Level to Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE Grade 4/C), supporting your confidence, independence, and future goals.

Whether you need help with everyday calculations or want to gain a recognised qualification to access further training, our experienced tutors will help you learn at your own pace. This course is ideal if you want to strengthen your maths for real-life situations, from budgeting to job applications, in a space where you feel supported and respected.

Our trauma-informed, learner-centred approach means we provide small group learning, individual pacing, and tailored support for students with additional needs or disrupted education, including refugees, asylum seekers, and students with anxiety or SEND.

You will develop confidence through engaging, practical, and multi-sensory learning using visual aids, group work, and real-world examples. Lessons are paced according to your individual needs, with 1:1 tutor guidance and embedded employability and life skills throughout the course.

This course also integrates interactive learning tools and technology to make maths more accessible, and helps you prepare for future education, apprenticeships, or employment.

Functional Skills English and Maths are studied as part of your Sixth Form study programme at ELATT.
They complement your main vocational course and help you build essential skills for further learning and employment.
