About this Project

West London Community Makers (WLCM) is an innovative new project, which aims to- establish a pool of skilled, trained migrant women volunteers, who will use their existing and learnt skills to get involved in their local community. The project runs in Ealing, Hounslow and Brent. The project objectives are to:

Promote social cohesion between communities as a mix of local people work together on shared projects.

Transform the lives of new migrant women by actively empowering them through developing their skills to be independent.

ELATT’s Community Cohesion programme also brings diverse groups together: migrant women attend and host community lunches, participate in employability workshops run by corporate volunteers, and build confidence at workshops facilitated by local arts practitioners.
