About this Project

Community Skills is a project supports refugees and non-European nationals facing social isolation and economic hardship due to language barriers and/or digital exclusion. To achieve this goal, we offer high quality ESOL and digital skills training, conversation clubs and ‘Digiclubs’ where people of different backgrounds build social networks through peer support and shared community projects. All of these methods help participants to learn English and digital skills quicker and improve their wellbeing and self-confidence, whilst building social networks and improved understanding of their communities and neighbours. This project is open to men and women, although around 85% of the participants are women.

This project is for non-EU nationals and adult refugees and their families living in or around; London Boroughs of Ealing, Brent, Hounslow, Hammersmith and Fulham, Hackney, Waltham Forest, Newham and Tower Hamlets. ELATT has established community venues in these boroughs and we also offer online/remote access. This programme includes:
